I’m old school!!! Yeah i said it!!!
I maybe the only person on this site that can still remember when Heavy D and the Boyz were at the forefront of Hip hop/Rap music gaining mainstream acceptance. You will probably hear this over and over again, but everyone loved Heavy D and the Boyz. My auntie would be like ” I don’t like hippty hop, but I like Heavy D” lmao!!! Let’s just say his music got equal playing time at my family reunions alongside “Before I let go”.
So when I look back on the music and the videos Hev left behind I can keep from smiling…. because that’s the affect his music had on you. He will forever be the “Overweight Lover”… the smooth brother with the suits and the dance steps!!! A class act all the way. Here is one of his last interviews with Tim Westwood.
